The pipes are useless.

and I don't want to sing that song.
If grace is so amazing,
why sing about it at funerals?
The dead don't really need it
and I keep getting the lyrics wrong.

But I'll be here in sun and shadow,
for it suits a wretch like me.

I've got songs of death and dying
but they don't do that much for me.
Even though “Thou art great,”
I'm sick of seeking pardon.
